We’re now G-Cloud approved! What this means for you…

Yes, that’s right, dotdigital is G-Cloud certified. But what does that mean? Well, it might sound like another buzz technology term, but the fact we are G-Cloud certified means quite a lot to some industries and might be relevant for you too. Let me explain…

Being G-Cloud certified means we are now included on the UK Government’s Digital Marketplace as a Cloud Software provider.

This is a directory of approved cloud-based technology solutions for government bodies and companies working in the public sector (like local authorities, schools, and many others). Despite this purpose, we often have institutions and companies in the private sector enquire if we are G-Cloud certified, like universities, or businesses that handle particularly sensitive data, such as healthcare companies. But even if you have never heard of G-Cloud before, there are some good reasons why it may be of interest to you too!

This is because being G-Cloud certified means dotdigital has met, and for the most part even exceeded, the security, contractual, accessibility, and service needs of a government agency; so companies of any kind can be sure that we tick the boxes for all of their needs too, with these really high standards.

Key influencing factors of our approval include our world-class uptime, our availability of 24/7 global support, the continuous development of our capabilities, and a super resilient and scalable global cloud infrastructure. Getting G-Cloud certified was the next natural step for us in demonstrating trust and transparency – something we have always valued.

A few months ago we also became ISO 27001 certified. Both this and the G-Cloud certification show that we have been independently verified to an internationally recognized standard. What this means is that, no matter your needs, you don’t need to worry about security or support issues with us, now or in the future.

Another key factor in getting certified was usability. If you’re a customer, you’ll already know that dotdigital Engagement Cloud provides a highly accessible way for marketers to orchestrate campaigns from start to send. In fact, we were recently named ‘easiest to use’ mid-market provider in G2’s Summer 2020 report. Plus, all users have access to a dedicated project manager, training, and a wealth of knowledge and guidance which is available in the extensive Help Center. We even offer strategic account management and in-house professional services for more of a helping-hand for those who need it most.

Most of all, if you’re thinking of switching to us, we want to make any decisions you need to make easier. And if you’re already a customer, we want to give you confidence that your data is safe and for you to know that as a company, we’re always considering your needs. We know that it’s not just government agencies who have these concerns. Our CEO Milan commented on the G-Cloud certification earlier this week, saying: “For many industries the level of security, accessibility, and services are not just a consideration, but the first and highest hurdle to overcome in the decision-making process. By exceeding these high standards, we can confidently continue to welcome more clients to our platform than ever before.”
