The brand has 32 stores across the UK, with thousands of customers walking through its doors each day. While this is great, Scribbler had no way of knowing who those customers were and how they could keep the conversation going once they’d left the store. Paper-based email collection was delivering poor results and manually entering this information into the database was a time-consuming process for its staff.
That’s when Scribbler decided to enlist the help of ODICCI – a platform designed to capture and enrich customer profiles – which enables brands to create engaging competitions, sweepstakes and surveys.
Now, when a customer buys a card from a Scribbler store, they receive a free instant-prize scratchcard with a unique code. The customer enters the code into a landing page, including their email address, and they receive an email with the details of their prize if they’ve won.
Scribbler’s Ecommerce Manager Emily Ridgewell said the company chose ODICCI because it offers “A simple and fun approach to collecting data”, revealing that the brand now collects 10 times more email addresses than it captured than previously.
What’s more, 26% of those who enter the scratchcard code subscribe to receive its newsletters, which has led to Scribbler growing its database by 50% in just four months.
Scribbler will be using the dotmailer for ODICCI extension, empowering the brand to use the enriched data to target customers with better accuracy and communicate on a more one-to-one level.
