Learning, rewards, and awards

Last week was Adult Learners’ Week, and I was proud to be a part of an award winning Adult Learning group, studying for a City and Guilds certificate specialising in teaching modern foreign languages.

We were nominated for the award as we were a diverse bunch of nationalities and ages, with varying levels of teaching experience and very different reasons for studying.

Last Wednesday, I had the pleasure of attending the gala awards ceremony  to collect my certificate. Albert Einstein put it rather well: “Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death.”
