How Loyal Are You?

So another week another feature! The dotCommerce team are keeping busy and again have realised yet another feature. This time Loyalty Points! Do you have a Nectar card? Or a Tesco club card? Wouldn’t it be nice to offer the same features on your ecommerce site? Now you can.

loyalty pointsThe dotCommerce loyalty points allows you to create your own loyalty points scheme. You can set how many points a user earns for every pound they spend and also the value a point is worth when they claim it back. On top of which, dotCommerce gives you the ability to configure if a user can earn or spend their points on VAT, delivery or earn them when redeeming. Again, dotCommerce’s amazing rule builder comes into play to give you total power.

Using the rule build you can create custom promotions driven around loyalty points including:

  • Bonus points on your first purchase
  • Bonus points when you become a customer
  • Double or triple points on selected products, brands or categories
  • Spend x and receive x points

And many many more, as you may have already discovered reading last week’s post on our rule builder the only limitation is how creative you and your business are.

Point schemes can be displayed on your homepage, product listing, product detail, checkout or any other site pages of your choice. With our flexible/customisable front end framework, you’re in control of the where and the how.

Loyalty schemes are great for online sites, they can help you retain your customers and offer an easy reason for you to email them, reminding them to return to your site. Without giving immediate discount away, you are offering additional promotions and benefits to your customers. It’s a win win marketing scheme.
