Grow your contact lists with Twitter’s Lead Generation Cards and dotmailer

Here's how you can use Twitter Lead Gen cards with dotmailer - and why you want to.

If you’re reading this, the chances are that email plays a large part in your marketing. And it’s a pretty safe bet that Twitter does, too. But if you think one can’t help bolster the other, then think again.

Twitter’s Lead Generation Cards offer you the chance of converting your Twitter followers into list subscribers. If you throw Promoted Tweets into the mix, you have an amazing opportunity of reaching new (but targeted) Twitter users and converting them too.

Not sure what Lead Generation Cards are? They’re a way of including useful, dynamic tools in tweets that simplify the way people interact with your brand. Specifically in this case, they allow you to add a ‘subscribe’ button directly to a tweet that puts the user’s email address into your dotmailer account. We’ve written about why they’re so important before, so if you’ve not used them yet you may want to read more and see some great examples.

Example

Click here to see our own Twitter Card in action – note how there’s a slightly different user experience between desktop and mobile?

From there you’re able to communicate with them directly, enter them into an automated marketing program, segment on them and generally target them in your usual ways.

Sound interesting? I’ve just published detailed instructions on how to do this over on our Knowledge Base, so if you’re keen to get started, that’s where to head.

And if you fancy sharing a link to your lead generation tweets, we’d love to see them.
