dotMailer gets Gilded: Magento Gold Partner Status Awarded

Today, I am proud to share that dotMailer has been given ‘Gold Partner Status’ by the eCommerce titan, Magento. This is a great opening to a new chapter in our long and established eCommerce heritage.

We are only one of four email service providers in the world to have achieved this status, which is set to help us reach out to the growing community of Magento Enterprise users across the globe.

Why So Magento?

In 2013, eCommerce accounted for 18% of the retail market, and in the UK it is expected to grow over the next two years by 17% accounting for a total sector worth of over £17 billion, according to the Wall Street Journal. Magento, the open-source eCommerce platform purchased by eBay in 2011, powers around 26% of all eCommerce sites in the Alexa Top 1 Million. Once integrated with dotMailer email marketing automation platform, Magento-powered retailers gain invaluable insights into their customers’ purchasing behavior, enabling them to automate lost basket reactivation emails and segment customers by sales history, to name just a couple of capabilities. The dotMailer ecommerce team has been responsible for building eCommerce sites and powering retailers’ email solutions since 1999. In that time, we developed a highly successful ecommerce platform – dotCommerce – and delivered solutions for great British brands, such as Nicole Farhi, Myla and Rodial.

However, we didn’t stop there. We spoke with retailers at length to really understand what they wanted from email marketing – the response was pretty uniform: they wanted to enrich their data through segmentation, and have more sophistication in how they could personalize user experiences and automate basic marketing functions. In 2011 we became a Magento Solution implementer, and in 2013 we shifted focus towards developing the dotMailer platform integration with Magento into the global choice for Magento powered retailers.

Real Results

We’ve already seen some amazing results from clients and agency partners alike:

“With dotMailer for Magento our AOV has doubled and we are seeing over 5,500% ROI on our email marketing” – Holly Leigh-Harvey, Cabbages & Roses (High End Fashion Retail)

“A must have extension” – PureBlue (eCommerce & Magento Implementation Partner)

“For Magento customers – dotMailer has killer capability” – Screen Pages (eCommerce & Magento Implementation Partner)

“We moved to dotMailer last year after growing frustrated with the poor functionality of our ESP’s Magento extension and haven’t looked back since. Not only are we able to run fully automated acquisition and remarketing campaigns based on our customer’s preferences, behaviour and purchase history, but it has also become our main CRM tool.” – Perricone MD (Beauty Specialist Brand)

Ben Staveley, our Head of eCommerce has this to say:

I am really excited that dotMailer has been awarded ‘Gold Partner Status’ from Magento. It is a great testament to the work all the team have put in across dotMailer to make our integration and offering the best in the market.

Now it’s all about pushing the envelope, by helping even more Magento users benefit from the Marketing Automation dotMailer provides. “.

With our lead Magento developer, now one of the few engineers in the UK certified in three strands of Magento Development – MCD, MCD+ and MCD Frontend – it’s a sign of how important we see the platform in the future of eCommerce expansion. We’re pretty sure the sky’s the limit.
