Pressing the Send button for your latest email marketing campaign can be a hesitant moment. In fact let’s be honest, it can sometimes be a little bit stressful.
Because even in a perfect world of perfect email marketers (I think they call it Zanadu – Ed) mistakes like the wrong hyperlink on a Call To Action can slip through the net.
If you’re a dotdigital user you should find pressing the Send button a lot less stressful – not least because dotdigital runs a comprehensive check of your email before you send it , and high-lights possible issues.
But also because – and this is very useful to know if you didn’t already know it – in dotdigital you can amend a link in a campaign after you’ve sent it.
So if by some cruel twist of fate you realise you’ve used the wrong link for a click-through in your email campaign, you can take these swift steps to minimise the impact:
2. Click on the Summary icon next to the campaign you want to edit
3. Under ‘HTML Content’ click on View/Edit Hyperlinks
Now you can correct any links you need to, click the Save icon, and your email will update itself in your recipients’ inboxes. What a life saver!
Prevention better than cure
